Spanish Hispano Suiza declassified the Carmen electric car
The Spanish Hispano Suiza Fábrica de Automóviles, owned by the family of the founder of the original Hispano-Suiza Damian Mateu, has declassified the characteristics of the Carmen electric car, which will premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.
The power plant of the new product consists of two 375-kilowatt electric motors mounted on the rear axle and a battery with a capacity of 80 kilowatt-hours. The total power of the units is 750 kilowatts or 1019 horsepower. Acceleration to the first “hundred” takes less than three seconds for the electric car. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, and its range is 400 kilometers in the NEDC cycle.
Only 19 examples of the Hispano Suiza Carmen will be built between the end of 2019 and 2021. Road testing will begin in the summer. The price of Carmen will be 1.5 million euros.
