Lamborghini Aventador SVR will receive a farewell V12
Lamborghini chief engineer Maurizio Reggiani said at the Geneva Motor Show last spring that in the foreseeable future the Aventador may receive an extreme version, which will be the last supercar in the history of the brand with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine.
The Sian, which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the fall, is clearly not related to this statement, since it is equipped with a hybrid powertrain. Now information has appeared on one of the forums that Lamborghini has already built an extreme Aventador, which only the brand’s most important clients will be able to purchase. Especially for it, the power of the naturally aspirated engine was increased to 830 hp.
Greenpeace demanded a ban on crossovers. The car is going to be released in a circulation of only 40 copies and not earlier than 2021. It will not be allowed on public roads, but the most interesting thing is that the limited supercar is allegedly going to be called Aventador SVR. I can’t help but remember that the same abbreviation is used by the British from Jaguar Land Rover to designate the “charged” versions of their models. However, back in 1974, Lamborghini released the Miura SVR coupe, so the Italians, perhaps, also have the right to these letters.
