Skoda turned Scala into Slavia

Students from Skoda's technical training department are set to transform an ordinary five-door Scala hatchback into a spectacular spider, which will receive its own name Slavia - and it should be another reminder that Skoda is, in fact, 125 years old this year. In 1895, the company's founders, Vaclav Klement and Vaclav Laurin, launched their first own production: they then produced bicycles and sold them under the Slavia brand.



The first information about the new Skoda Academy concept car appeared in mid-March. Then it became known that employees of the design center, including Skoda chief stylist Oliver Stefani, would help students of the Czech brand. However, the story of showing the student concept dragged on - work on the project was stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
