Kia has begun to declassify the new electric crossover

Kia has published a teaser of its new electric crossover EV6. It will become a serial embodiment of the Imagine concept, presented three years ago. The car will be completely declassified by the end of the month, and its sales will begin in July.

The new product will share the e-GMT platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5. At the same time, the Kia version will be positioned as more sporty. They promise acceleration to 100 km/h in three seconds versus more than five for the top version of the Ioniq 5. The EV6 is also striking in its fast charging capabilities: it will take only four minutes to absorb energy for 100 kilometers. The range on a single charge is expected to be 500 kilometers.

Let us remind you that in total Kia promises to release nine new electric vehicles on the e-GMP platform. The names EV1 to EV9 have already been patented for this purpose. The company plans to sell 500,000 electric vehicles annually in five years and occupy 6.6% of the global market.
