Mercedes-AMG presented an open modification of the GT R supercar
The Mercedes-AMG division presented an open version of the most hardcore modification of the AMG GT – the AMG GT R. The series of roadsters with active aerodynamics and steering rear wheels will be limited to 750 copies.
The Roadster features a three-piece soft top with lightweight aluminum, magnesium and steel construction. Other distinctive features of the car were black exterior mirror housings, yellow brake calipers, and special forged wheels with a diameter of 19 and 20 inches at the front and rear, respectively.
Under the hood of the new AMG GT R Roadster is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, which is available from 2100 to 5500 rpm. Box 7-speed “robot” with two clutches. Acceleration to “hundreds” of the roadster takes 3.6 seconds (the same as the coupe), and its top speed is 317 kilometers per hour.
