Auto Bild awarded the new Kia XCeed "Golden Steering Wheel"
XCeed, the new urban crossover of the Kia brand, has won the Golden Steering Wheel award (Das Goldene Lenkrad) from the authoritative German automobile publication Auto Bild. XCeed became the best in the category of cars costing up to 35,000 Euros.
The youngest member of the Kia family, the XCeed crossover, received Germany's most prestigious automotive award, the Golden Steering Wheel, awarded annually by the authoritative publication Auto Bild. The Kia XCeed topped 58 competitors in terms of base price, basic equipment, warranty, driving experience and running costs.
The Auto Bild editorial team decided to award the “Golden Steering Wheel” in the price category up to 35,000 Euros to the Kia XCeed, as the car impresses with its balance of quality, interior space and comfort, as well as attractive warranty conditions.
Kia is launching a line of branded motor oils. Let us recall that the Kia XCeed became the first crossover in the line of the third generation Ceed model. The car's European debut was truly triumphant, because before receiving the Golden Steering Wheel award, the XCeed convincingly defeated the VW T-Roc in the Auto Bild comparison test (number 42/2019). Thus, the crossover continued the victorious march of the third generation Ceed line of cars (Ceed, Ceed SW. ProCeed), which in total won about 20 comparative tests conducted by industry publications. The Ceed also won bronze in the 2019 European Car of the Year competition, behind the impressive Jaguar I-Pace and Renault Alpine A110.
European sales of the third generation Ceed doubled in 2019 and amounted to 92,050 units in the January-October period compared to 49,868 sold last year. Note that in Ukraine, the Kia Ceed model holds second position after the undisputed market leader – Kia Sportage.
