Kia Carnival minivan looks like an SUV
Kia designers, creating the new Carnival minivan, borrowed some “tricks” from the world of crossovers to draw the Grand Utility Vehicle.
It is known that the Kia Carnival minivan has had its wheelbase lengthened, the front overhang shortened and the A-pillars moved slightly back, giving it a dynamic profile. The “face” has been completely redesigned - for example, new optics with dashing LED flourishes and a radiator grille with unusual filling have appeared here.
Another original solution is the so-called “floating roof” effect. It is achieved by darkening all the body pillars, with the exception of those separating the interior from the trunk, which, in turn, are emphasized by chrome “fins”. The linings are also finished with a special pattern, which is promised to be repeated in the interior of the minivan - but photographs of the Carnival’s interior have not yet been published.

Apparently, the “all-terrain” image of the model, which Kia now prefers to position as a Grand Utility Vehicle, should be emphasized by the design of the bumpers, which carry imitation protective pads. It's unlikely that the manufacturer will actually decide to send the massive minivan off-road, but the release of technical specifications is still to come.
Kia plans to begin sales of the fourth-generation Carnival in the domestic market in the third quarter of this year. After this, the new product (including under the name Kia Sedona) will go to other countries.
